Self supporting frames on 10mm base plates. Where a wall rig gives you one working side, a free standing rig gives you two, so one cell is two stations.

Cages from rig parts

The PSPX2 half cage and PSPX3 full cage use the same 75 x 75mm uprights and 304 stainless hardware as the rigs, joined to a rig or standing alone.

Buyer’s guide

Specifying a rig, properly

The questions we ask on every project. Answer these and the quote is fast and right first time.

01

Wall or free standing?

Wall rigs need a structural wall (masonry or steel, never plasterboard) and train one side. Free standing rigs train both sides and go anywhere, including outdoors.

02

How many cells?

Count peak simultaneous users, not total members. One cell per lifter on a wall rig, two per cell free standing. Cells bolt on later.

03

3mm or 4mm?

3mm is the commercial standard. 4mm for universities, pro facilities, Defence and anywhere the rig gets hammered all day.

04

Standard or wide boy depth?

1080mm standard saves floor. 1800mm wide boy gives more room between athletes, sled work and longer monkey bar traverses.

05

Which upright height?

2500mm suits a 2.7m ceiling. 2750 and 3000mm give rope and muscle-up clearance. 3500mm for warehouses. Allow 200mm above for anchors.

06

Indoor or outdoor?

Same rig, no upgrade needed. OptiGrip polyresin UV coating and 304 stainless hardware are standard on every build.

Why Phoenix rigs

Better steel. Better hardware.

No asterisks. The spec most rigs charge extra for is our standard.

Heavier steel, your choice

3mm or 4mm wall on every project. Most commercial rigs run lighter and do not give you the option.

304 stainless everywhere

J-hooks, arms, bolts, fixings. Marine grade, so coastal and humid sites do not rust it out.

Outdoor from the factory

OptiGrip UV coating is standard. No outdoor upgrade, no warranty exclusion.

Designed by an operator

Andy Taylor built his first rig system under the Valkyrie name more than a decade ago. Phoenix is the refined version.

I built my first rig system more than a decade ago under the Valkyrie name. Every spec, the steel gauge, the hardware grade, the coating, was chosen because I wanted a rig I’d be proud to put my name on. Phoenix is that rig. Nothing compromised.

Tariffs

Made in Vietnam. Not caught in the China tariff net.

Buying into the USA, Mexico, Canada or Europe? Where your equipment is made changes what you pay at the border.

USA

Vietnam-origin gym equipment does not carry the China-only Section 301 duties that have sat on Chinese fitness equipment since 2018 and 2019. That layer is the gap, on every container.

Vietnam origin

Mexico

From January 2026 Mexico raised duties of 10% to 50% on 1,400+ tariff lines from non-FTA countries, China included. Vietnam trades with Mexico under CPTPP.

CPTPP partner

Canada, EU, UK and CPTPP

Vietnam has trade agreements with the EU, the UK, Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and more. Qualifying goods can claim preferential duty with a certificate of origin.

FAQ

Rig questions

What is a cell on a gym rig?

A cell is one 1800mm bay between uprights, wide enough for a full 7ft Olympic bar with room to load and unload. On a wall rig one cell is one station. On a free standing rig one cell trains from both sides, so it is two stations.

Wall mounted or free standing?

Wall rigs anchor to a structural wall, train from one side and use almost no floor. Free standing rigs sit on 150 x 150mm base plates, train from both sides and can go anywhere on the floor, indoors or out.

What is the difference between 3mm and 4mm uprights?

Both are 75 x 75mm structural steel. 3mm is our commercial standard and already heavier than most rigs on the market. 4mm adds torsional rigidity and less flex under dynamic load, for high-traffic boxes, universities and Defence. You choose per project.

Can a Phoenix rig go outdoors?

Yes, with no modification and no upcharge. Every rig is finished in OptiGrip polyresin UV coating with 304 stainless hardware, so the same rig goes on a pad, a rooftop, a deck or a remote site.

Can we add cells or attachments later?

Yes. It is a bolt-together system with 25mm holes on 25mm centres throughout, so cells, monkey bars, storage and attachments bolt on later without replacing anything.

Are Phoenix rigs compatible with Valkyrie attachments?

Yes. Valkyrie was the founder’s original rig system and uses the same hole spec, so Phoenix and Valkyrie parts fit each other.

Can you ship a rig overseas?

Yes. Rigs ship flat packed and consolidate into a mixed container with machines, flooring and free weights, FOB or delivered to your port. Every order comes with assembly drawings.

Do you do custom colours and branding?

Black is standard. Any RAL colour is available on uprights, chin bars or the whole rig, and client branding on request.

How are rigs priced?

From the current USD price list, which you can download below. Standard configurations are listed. Four cells and up, monkey bar, staircase and boxing rigs are quoted to your plan.

Is Phoenix equipment hit by the US tariffs on China?

Our Vietnam-made equipment is Vietnam origin, so it does not carry the China-only Section 301 duties that have applied to Chinese gym equipment since 2018 and 2019. Both countries pay the newer across-the-board US duties, so the China-only layer is the difference. Rates change often and depend on the HS code, so we give you the codes and origin documents and your customs broker confirms the landed duty.
