Machine questions
What is the difference between pin loaded and plate loaded machines?
Pin loaded machines have a built-in weight stack and you move a pin to change the load, which is fast and suits high member numbers. Plate loaded machines use standard Olympic plates on loading horns, give a more natural strength curve for heavy work, and have no stack to service.
How many machines are in the Phoenix range?
50+ machines ready to go, plate loaded and pin loaded, including multi-stations, functional trainers, a 3D Smith machine and the IPF combo rack. Another 50+ new machines are in design, and the full range runs to 300+ products.
Can machines be made in custom colours?
Yes. Frames, arms and upholstery can be made in your colours, with decals and logos. The red-armed lateral raise and custom colour rigs are examples.
Are the machines made to order?
Yes. Machines are built to order, which is how colours and branding are possible. Lead time is confirmed on the quote.
Some machines show ‘photos on request’. Why?
They are new to the range and the photo shoot has not caught up. Ask and we send drawings and factory photos.
Can distributors and OEM brands take the machine range?
Yes. The full range is available to distributors, and under your own brand through our OEM and white label program.
Is Phoenix equipment hit by the US tariffs on China?
Our Vietnam-made equipment is Vietnam origin, so it does not carry the China-only Section 301 duties that have applied to Chinese gym equipment since 2018 and 2019. Both countries pay the newer across-the-board US duties, so the China-only layer is the difference. Rates change often and depend on the HS code, so we give you the codes and origin documents and your customs broker confirms the landed duty.
